Panorama Answers Question, Which ERP Most Selected: Dynamics

ERP most selected
Microsoft Dynamics most selected ERP
Panorama, an independent ERP solutions consulting company, published their annual ERP report naming Microsoft Dynamics ERP as the most selected ERP software.  Their report available for download below entitled, “2016 REPORT ON ERP SYSTEMS AND ENTERPRISE SOFTWARE, ” is a wealth of information for anyone thinking of upgrading their ERP or implementing ERP for the first time.

The report by Panorama sites that Microsoft tops the list of all ERP solutions for being:

  • shortlisted
  • the most selected ERP software

The statistics are impressive: Microsoft is continually most selected as the software vendor of choice, followed by Oracle (23%), SAP (20%) and Epicor (7%). Other ERP vendors in Panorama’s dataset included IFS, NetSuite, Plex Systems, QAD, Sage, SYSPRO, Tyler Technologies, and Unit4, just to name a few. (Note: An updated Nucleus Research report out July, 2016, says that 6 out of 10 customers would not choose SAP again.)

This statistic is further compounded as Microsoft is only shortlisted 27% of the time as opposed to other competitors being shortlisted more often: SAP is shortlisted at 41% and Oracle at 37%.white_space.jpg Panorama ERP Report 2016

These numbers are no surprise to us at Clients First, a VAR rated in the top 1% of all the value added resellers. Our company has been implementing ERP for Microsoft Dynamics NAV and Dynamics AX since Microsoft’s inception when the products were called Navision and Axapta.

Compared to other ERP competitors, Dynamics AX has a lower than average implementation time of 10 months, lower cost of implementation, lower risk in implementation, and higher customization abilities allowing for company wide satisfaction and user-satisfaction.  Because of the customization and scalable configurability of AX, the solution is a better fit for manufacturers. Dynamics ERP gives manufacturing:

  • process improvements
  • job costing
  • resource scheduling
  • financial knowledge
  • shipping savings through containerization and automation
  • the list goes on
