Benefits of Dynamics 365 Integration With Dual Write

Microsoft Dynamics 365 offers enterprise resource planning (ERP) and customer relationship management (CRM) application suites that provide vital finance, inventory management, marketing, sales, human resources, and other operations tools for businesses. With the Dual Write integration, businesses can more easily store and synchronize important data between Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations through Dataverse, Microsoft's data storage and management engine.

Here are four major benefits a business can experience when using Dynamics 365 with the Dual Write integration:

Bi-Directional Data Flow

Basically, Dual Write allows employees operating any of the Dynamics 365 ERP applications to input data that automatically updates in all the other apps that use that same data. Bi-directional data flow means that one app will update data in a second app, and that second app will also send updated data back to the first app.

Dual Write differs from Microsoft's original flow system, Data Integrator. This earlier system used mono-directional flow, meaning it would only flow from one app to the other without the other app also providing updated data back to the first. For example, Data Integrator allowed data from Dynamics 365 Sales to flow to Dynamics 365 Finance. But the software manager would have to set up a second Data Integrator function for data to flow from Finance to Sales.

Now with Dual Write, organizations can enable this singular function and expect data to be freely updated across all connected applications.

Real-time Syncing

When an employee updates data in one app, other applications that use that same data get the update, too. While it's not exactly an immediate change, the updates do occur in real-time with very slight delay. And it's fully automated, so employees don't have to manually sync or update the system. What's more is that a business can customize how often syncing occurs, that way constant updating doesn't slow down the system or the employees using it.

Online and Offline Sync Modes

Another amazing benefit of Dynamics 365 with the Dual Write integration is that a business can set up syncing processes and schedules for both online and offline modes. That means a business can customize the number and frequency of bi-directional updates across applications while the system is in use. Organizations can also allow the system to do most of its updating and synchronizing when the system isn't in use if that's more convenient. In fact, Microsoft is the only software provider in the ERP space to provide an offline sync mode for real-time data integration and updating.

Low Code Engineering

The Dual Write integration needs little to no coding to put into place and manage. That means it's a more efficient integration that won't take up too much time in a company's software management department.

Dynamics 365 Back Office for Retail

One of the biggest benefits of Dynamics 365 is its ability to unify your retail experiences across all channels thanks to its native support for omnichannel purchasing. Dynamics 365 helps businesses personalize customer engagement, optimize store operations, and increase employee productivity. The software’s integrated intelligence allows retailers to increase conversions and rabidly fulfill orders with intelligent distributed order management.
